In order for a prescription to be standing, it is necessary that it is signed by an authorized optician or eye doctor and that is still valid. Usually validation stands between one to two years. Of course it goes without saying, that if you feel a deterioration of your eyesight,aerlier than that,you should definetely pay a visit to your doctor.

Pupillary distance (PD) calculates the distance between the center of your pupils. It is an important measurement, when you decide to buy a pair of new prescription glasses. More specifically, the optical center of each lens should be lined up straight in front of the center of the pupil. It provides you with clarity and comfort.

PD is calculated in millimeters. This distance is usually between 55 and 73mm.

This is asctually a pretty simple procedure which you can do it by yourself. This information is mostly useful for online orders of prescription glasses. If you are having any trouble, please contact our shop and we will guide you through the process.

Firstly, to save yourself from any discomfort, you can take a look of your previous prescription. Check out the PD section. If the section is blank, you can always visit our store and our team will take care of the meaurement.

If our store is unreachable and you are ordering online, there is also a solution. All you need is a mirror and a ruler. Stand infront of the mirror and put the ruler over your nose. Initiate with your right eye and position the ruler's zero straight at your pupil. After that, you measure the distance between the right and the left pupil. Just send us a picture through e-mail, so we can detect the millimetres of the ruler and write down your PD.

In order to be compensated by your EOPYY, you must comply with the following requirements:

1. It is imperative that you are insured with EOPPY

2. You should also check that your last eyeglass coverage was 4 years ago.

3. If you have an unemployment card (you are unemployed),EOPYY will not cover your glasses for reimbursement.

All you will need is the ophthalmologist’s electronic prescription.

EOPYY reimbursement amount is 100 euro.

It is an uncomplicated process, which takes place online.

-All you need is, your personal Taxisnet passwords.
-The AMKA of the protected member.
-The necessary supporting documents in electronic form, such as the receipt and the ceriticate of the optician.
-A valid and active bank account number, in which you are the sole beneficiary or co-owner.

The prescription is valid for 1 month.

The first step, is to get examined by a certified ophthalmologist. After the examination, the insured patient is prescribed the required.

The patient within 1 month, which begins from the date the prescription was written, goes to an optical store, where he can buy the glasses that are needed. The optician gives the insured client a certificate of purchase and an opinion (verification).

After gathering the supporting documents that are needed, the insured must deposit them in his competent fund. The reimbursement does not happen instantly but shortly, to the bank account given.

2.Select "HEALTH INSURANCE FILE"

3.Enter Taxisnet or passwords (if you have) personal code EOPYY. (Indirectly insured persons enter the platform with their own codes unless they are minor protected members)

4.Enter your AMKA (The user logged in in the previous step) and press "Login"

5.Select "Individual Benefit Requests"

6.Select "Submit"

7.Select "REQUEST SUBJECT" : "OPTICS" for compensation for eyeglasses.

8.Enter the Postal Code "TK" of your home.

9.Enter in the field "CONCERNS" if it is an indirect or direct member and fill in the AMKA. (The indirectly insured after selecting an "indirect member" enter their own AMKA and the rest of his personal data will be displayed automatically. Only in the field "BENEFICIARY DETAILS" enter those of the directly insured. For minors protected members do the same for indirectly insured members

10.Enter your email account and mobile phone in your contact details.

11.In the beneficiary details you fill in the details of the directly insured and the IBAN Bank account you wish to receive the amount of the optical compensation. In the field "Requested amount" we enter the exact amount of the document (evidence) given to you by the optician.

12.In the Referral / Opinion Details you can see the available EKPY Benefits Opinions ("Available" table). Select the number that matches the one just below the barcode in the EKPY benefit statement, given to you by your ophthalmologist, and press the arrow to move it to the "Selected" panel.

13.Upload by pressing "+" scanned or with a simple photo the required documents required (payment receipt, Certificate from the Optics Store, first page of the bank book that certifies the IBAN number you entered)

14.Press the square buttons that you undertake to adhere to 5 the original supporting documents and that at your own risk the data and supporting documents

15.Click "SUBMIT A REQUEST" and wait for the confirmation to be made.

16.ATTENTION - After submitting the request, note the protocol number and the competent FIELD in order to address in case something goes wrong and you do not receive the compensation for the optics.
